Brancepeth Parish Plan

From talking to people in the village, members of the Parish Plan Working Group found that there were varying views about the purpose of having a Parish Plan.  Hopefully, this document will provide useful information for parishioners to have informed opinions.

Three key reasons for producing a Brancepeth Parish Plan are:

1. As part of Brancepeth’s Parish Council’s aim to achieve Quality Status a Parish Plan will demonstrate the Council’s ability to identify, prioritise and deliver efficient services to local residents.

2. As an effective guide for local projects which can be used to inform the community about council priorities which will be crucial when seeking funding from external agencies.

3. As an important source of information for Durham County Council when they make decisions and policies that affect the people of Brancepeth.
